“WHY DIGITAL AGRICULTURE? SOME CASE STUDIES”
Thursday, the 14th of March
At 14:30 – OPEN DEBATE on “WHY DIGITAL AGRICULTURE? SOME CASE STUDIES”. Speakers will be Matteo Vanotti of Xfarm, the open-source precision
agriculture platform; an extremely relevant topic for A.R.PRO.M.A. members; and Nicolò Barbano from the Students’ Association of the Agriculture Faculty at Turin University.
Precision agriculture is the present in our sector.
Future scenarios are looking at forecasts that demand a marked shift towards this approach, in order to manage the cultivation process, continue to increase farm efficiency and have
the means to invest in new technology. To tell us about it are Matteo Vanotti of Xfarm, the first open-source platform of its kind, and Nicolò Barbano, a student from the Faculty of
Agriculture at Turin University, whose studies are geared towards this specific sphere of action.
The topic of discussion will be “Why digital agriculture?” with several case studies in which viticulture is at the forefront.
